Description
1. Product Overview
Full Part Number: IS200EPSMG1AECApplicable System: GE Speedtronic Mark VI / Mark VIe Turbine Control System and EX2100 generator excitation control platform, originally manufactured in the USA, an EOL discontinued core spare part for excitation cabinet power supply.Definition: EPSM stands for Exciter Power Supply Module. Installed into the EPBP backplane slot, it serves as the central multi-channel regulated power hub of the EX2100 excitation cabinet. It receives 125VDC input from the upstream EPDM distribution board, adopts a two-stage isolated switching power supply topology to generate all required logic power, relay power and isolated contact wetting power for the entire excitation control system. It supplies power to M1/M2/C main controllers, EGPA pulse amplifier boards, ECTB/EXTB terminal boards, crowbar de-excitation loops and EDEX/EDCF modules, which is the fundamental power source for excitation voltage regulation, grid synchronization and fault protection of generator units. It is widely applied in spare part replacement, power circuit troubleshooting and cabinet expansion maintenance of thermal power turbine excitation systems.

4. Product Advantages
- Two-stage isolated power architecture drastically improves power supply stability and eliminates generator reactive power fluctuation caused by power ripple.
- Complete isolation between input and outputs as well as among individual branches eliminates ground loop interference and prevents high-voltage reverse damage to downstream control boards.
- Visual channel-by-channel LED indicators realize rapid fault location and reduce unit downtime during maintenance.
- Standardized slot-based plug-and-play replacement requires no cabinet rewiring or program modification for on-site maintenance.
- Five-layer protection mechanism (input fuse, surge suppression, current limiting, short-circuit latch, over/undervoltage lockout) forms multi-level safety protection for the entire excitation power system.
- Fanless mechanical-free design with conformal coating and shielding enables 24/7 long-term operation matching the overhaul cycle of power generation units with zero routine maintenance.
