Product Definition: DAMDG2 stands for Gate Driver Amplifier & Interface Board. One single board drives a dual-IGBT module for one phase leg, and three identical boards are required to constitute a complete three-phase power bridge. It converts and isolates PWM control signals from the main controller, amplifies gate drive waveforms to trigger IGBT power devices, collects real-time operating status and fault feedback, and executes hardware interlock protection against overcurrent and over-temperature. Multi-channel sampling circuits continuously detect DC bus voltage, IGBT conduction current, module temperature and drive line breakage. All fault information is uploaded to the DSP main controller via VME backplane bus for fault logging, alarm and closed-loop regulation.


2.4 Hardware Ultra-Fast Fault Interlock Unit

Protection logic is implemented by discrete hardware circuits without CPU program judgment. Gate drive output is blocked and fault status is latched within microseconds once short-circuit, overcurrent or over-temperature is detected. Latched faults can only be cleared by power cycle to avoid accidental reset by transient interference.
