IV. Product Functions and Features
Dual Redundant Hot-swappable Architecture, Zero-downtime Maintenance for Key Units
The rack supports dual-module redundant deployment. The module in the lower slot is defaulted as the primary power supply, and the upper one as the backup power supply. When the primary power supply trips due to overload or fault, the backup power supply takes over the load seamlessly. Under redundant live state, any power supply can be plugged and replaced separately without system shutdown, minimizing the risk of unplanned shutdown of key rotating equipment and complying with API 670 unit safety design specifications.Full-loop Hardware Protection, Stable and Reliable Operation Under Harsh Power Grid Conditions
A full-link protection mechanism is integrated from input incoming line, power conversion to backplane output. In case of grid surge, short circuit of rear module, reverse wiring polarity and over-temperature due to poor heat dissipation, the output will be immediately current-limited and locked, which can not only protect the power supply module from burnout, but also avoid fault spreading along the backplane to damage all monitoring cards of the whole rack, greatly improving the fault tolerance of the condition protection system.Standardized Rack Adaptation, Strong Compatibility for Spare Part Replacement
It is a native supporting power supply for the full series of Bently Nevada 3500 racks with fully standardized hardware installation dimensions and backplane power supply protocols. Modules of the same voltage specification can directly replace faulty old power supplies. After replacement, it will automatically recognize the load after power-on without reconfiguration and program downloading, which is perfectly applicable to spare part replacement during annual overhaul of power stations and chemical plants.Industrial Shielded Wide-temperature Design, Long-term Stable Operation in Strong Interference Working Conditions
The metal shielded housing is equipped with internal EMC filter circuits to resist electromagnetic interference generated by frequent start and stop of frequency converters and high-voltage motors, avoiding vibration data jump and protection misoperation caused by power disturbance. Wide-temperature component selection enables long-term stable operation in high-temperature closed cabinets and low-temperature outdoor control cabinets, with MTBF exceeding 200,000 hours and low routine maintenance frequency.V. Application Scenarios
- Primary power supply and redundant power supply hardware deployment for 3500 vibration protection systems of steam turbines, generators, boiler induced draft fans and forced draft fans in thermal and gas power plants.
- Power supply supporting and faulty module replacement for mechanical condition monitoring systems of large centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors and pump units in petrochemical and refinery plants.
- Hardware upgrading and renovation for power supply redundancy of axial displacement and vibration safety monitoring systems of large blowers and steam turbine-driven units in metallurgy, papermaking and cement industries.
- Hardware supporting of power supplies complying with Class I Div2 explosion-proof specifications for mechanical protection systems of booster units on offshore platforms and long-distance oil and gas pipelines.
- Hardware upgrading and replacement scenarios for aging power supplies, frequent overload tripping and single non-redundant power supplies during annual overhaul of legacy Bently Nevada 3500 monitoring systems.
