IV. Working Principle


After rack power-on, the CPU completes POST self-test of hardware, bus and communication circuits, loads user programs from Flash to RAM and enters the corresponding operating mode according to the key switch setting. In run mode, the CPU cyclically executes control logic, reads field I/O signals via the VME backplane, outputs control instructions to field actuators, and exchanges operating data with remote devices through serial or extended buses. In redundant configuration, the primary and standby CPUs synchronize programs and real-time variables in real time to realize bumpless takeover upon main unit failure. All fault events and status changes are timestamped and stored, and the backup battery ensures no data loss after power failure.
