Description

Functional Features Rich Types of Signal Output: It has 8 isolated output channels. Each channel can provide a standard 4 - 20mA analog output signal, and can also provide a digital HART frequency shift keying (FSK) signal superimposed on the 4 - 20mA analog output signal. The two types of signals are electrically compatible. Redundancy Function: When the modules are used in pairs, redundancy is provided at the Fieldbus Module (FBM) level. One module serves as the master module, and the other serves as the tracking module, improving the reliability and stability of the system. HART Communication Support: Each output channel is equipped with a dedicated FSK modem for two-way digital communication with HART field devices. It supports common HART commands, enabling data interaction between the Foxboro DCS and field devices. It can act as the host of HART communication field devices and can request and receive two digital messages from field devices per second, but it does not support the burst communication mode. Electrical Isolation: Current isolation is adopted among all output channels, as well as between the channels, the ground, and the module logic, enhancing the anti-interference ability and safety of the module. Compact and Durable Structural Design: With a compact and robust design, it is suitable for G3-level (harsh) environments and can operate stably in relatively harsh industrial environments.

Technical Specification Parameters Dimensions: 263×58×28mm. Weight: 4.3kg. Output Signal: 4 - 20mA analog signal or 4 - 20mA analog signal with superimposed HART FSK signal. Channel Isolation: The channels are isolated from each other, as well as from the ground and the module logic.

Application Areas It is mainly applied in Foxboro's I/A Series Distributed Control System (DCS). In the process control of various industrial fields such as petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy, and building materials, it is used to connect field devices that require HART communication, such as intelligent transmitters and control valves, to achieve precise control and data monitoring of field devices, ensuring the stable operation and efficient management of the production process.

Common Faults and Solutions Communication Fault Possible Reasons: Incorrect HART communication parameter settings, poor connection of communication lines, and faults in field devices. Solutions: Check the HART communication parameter settings of the module to ensure they are consistent with the requirements of field devices and the system; check the communication lines, including whether the cable connections are loose or damaged, and repair or replace them in a timely manner; inspect and maintain the field devices to eliminate the impact of field device faults on communication. Abnormal Output Signal Possible Reasons: Faults in the internal circuit of the module, damage to the output channels, and abnormal load of field devices. Solutions: Check the working status and diagnostic information of the module. If it is determined that there are faults in the internal circuit of the module or damage to the output channels, contact professional maintenance personnel to repair or replace the module; check the load situation of field devices to ensure it is within the output capacity of the module. If the load is abnormal, troubleshoot and repair the faults of field devices. Redundancy Function Fault Possible Reasons: Communication faults between redundant modules and incorrect configuration of the master and slave modules. Solutions: Check the communication lines and connections between redundant modules to ensure normal communication; verify the configuration parameters of the master and slave modules to ensure correct configuration, and reconfigure and initialize if necessary.
