GE Multilin UR8AH is a current transformer (CT)/voltage transformer (VT) module, belonging to the GE Multilin UR series of general-purpose relay modules. It is mainly used to measure current and voltage signals in power systems and convert these signals into values recognizable by protective relays or other devices, usually used in conjunction with GE's power protection relays.

Working Principle: UR8AH converts high-voltage and large-current signals in the power system into low-voltage and small-current signals through internal current transformers and voltage transformers. These signals are converted into digital signals after isolation and scaling processing. Then, the module sends the digital signals to protective relays or other devices through supported communication protocols, which are used for power system protection, monitoring, fault analysis, etc., to realize the monitoring and control of the operating status of the power system.
