III. Technical Features
- SIL 3 High-safety Redundant Execution ArchitectureAdopts dual design of hardware redundancy (dual CPU + dual power supply) and software redundancy (dual-channel logic operation). It automatically switches to the backup channel within 20 ms when the main channel fails, ensuring uninterrupted transmission of execution commands. It effectively avoids safety accidents caused by execution delay and meets the demands of high-risk scenarios such as petrochemical ESD systems.
- High-precision & High-speed Execution ControlEquipped with 32 independent safety digital output channels with configurable PNP/NPN transistor output mode. The output response time is less than 1 ms, and each channel supports a maximum load current of 2A with built-in short-circuit protection. It responds quickly and accurately to control system commands to drive various on-site actuators, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of action execution and satisfying high-speed control scenario requirements.
- Superior Anti-interference & High ReliabilityCertified to IEC 61000-6-2/6-4 EMC standards. It maintains signal integrity under electromagnetic field strength of 30V/m and achieves radiation immunity up to 10V/m (80MHz–1GHz). It features vibration resistance (10–500Hz, 5g acceleration) and shock resistance (50g, 11ms half-sine wave). Its MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) exceeds 200,000 hours, enabling long-term stable operation in complex industrial environments.
- Comprehensive Fault Diagnosis MechanismHardware self-diagnosis coverage ≥99% and software self-diagnosis coverage ≥96%. The built-in dedicated fault detection circuit real-timely monitors channel short circuit, communication interruption, power abnormality and other faults. Fault types can be quickly located via LED indicators, and fault signals are reported to the controller in real time. It supports on-line diagnosis and off-line testing, helping maintenance personnel troubleshoot rapidly and reduce downtime.
- High-density Channels & Flexible ExpansionA single module integrates 32 independent output channels with 500VAC electrical isolation between channels, capable of driving 32 actuators and avoiding crosstalk interference. It supports daisy-chain expansion; up to 16 modules can be connected in series via FB interface to realize distributed control, adapting to wide-range remote execution scenarios such as offshore platforms and effectively protecting existing investment.
- Good Compatibility & IntegratabilityModular design enables seamless compatibility with HIMA HIMax series controllers, which can be inserted into any backplane slot except reserved system bus slots without additional adaptive components, simplifying system integration. Dual redundant SafeEthernet ports and PROFIBUS-DP redundant interfaces ensure high-speed and stable communication with the control system, adapting to various industrial automation architectures.
- Convenient Installation & MaintenanceRack-mounted design compatible with HIMA standard cabinets enables simple and fast installation and fixation. It supports online firmware upgrade (upgrade time <15 minutes) with configuration file backup available before upgrading. Module replacement can be completed rapidly during later maintenance, lowering O&M costs and improving operational convenience.
- Excellent Environmental AdaptabilityOperating temperature ranges from -25℃ to 70℃, adapting to high and low temperature industrial environments. Relative humidity 5%~95% non-condensing with IP20 protection degree, it is suitable for industrial control room installation and can operate stably without additional protective measures, meeting environmental requirements of different industries.
IV. Application Scenarios
1. Petrochemical Industry
As the execution core for high-risk environments, it is widely used in Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) and Fire & Gas Systems (F&G) in petrochemical production to drive Emergency Shutoff Valves (ESV). It closes valves within 0.5 seconds when pressure/temperature exceeds limits (e.g. >10MPa / >300℃) to prevent explosion, leakage and other accidents. It also controls fire water monitors and foam extinguishing devices, activating spray systems within 1 second when combustible gas leakage is detected (e.g. >25% LEL) to ensure production safety.
2. Power Energy Industry
Suitable for thermal power, hydropower and other power generation scenarios, applied in Burner Management Systems (BMS) and Steam Turbine Control Systems (TMC). It controls fuel cut-off valves to cut off fuel supply within 0.3 seconds in case of flame extinction (e.g. UV sensor signal <5V). It drives turbine bypass valves to start pressure relief within 0.2 seconds under overspeed conditions (e.g. >3600rpm), ensuring stable grid operation and reliable power supply.
3. Rail Transit Industry
Applied in rail transit signal systems and platform screen door control. It controls turnout switches to cut off driving power within 0.1 seconds in case of positioning errors to avoid track accidents. It drives screen door locking devices to prohibit door opening when the train is not fully stopped (speed >5km/h), guaranteeing transportation safety.
4. Pharmaceutical & Food Processing Industry
Adapted to pharmaceutical, food processing and other industries with high requirements for production safety and standardization. Used in reactor control, it drives heating/cooling solenoid valves to cut off heat sources within 0.5 seconds when temperature exceeds limits (e.g. >150℃). It controls air shower room valves to prohibit access to clean areas without completing air shower (pressure difference <10Pa), ensuring production complies with GMP standards and product quality is guaranteed.
