4. Operating Principle

After connecting to industrial power grid, the SCHROFF MPS022 completes AC/DC conversion through front-end filtering and rectifier circuits. The built-in active PFC circuit optimizes grid input waveform, suppresses harmonic loss and improves power utilization. After multi-stage processing of high-frequency switching inversion, isolation transformation and precision voltage regulation filtering, it outputs low-ripple, high-stability DC voltage to supply power for VME chassis backplanes and various board cards.


The module real-timely monitors input voltage, output load current, internal temperature and output status during operation. Once abnormalities such as short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature are detected, it immediately triggers hardware protection to cut off output and lock working status, preventing damage to the power supply and backend VME main control, communication and I/O modules. It automatically resets and resumes normal power supply after faults are eliminated without manual intervention.


Meanwhile, the module generates real-time power operating signals and uploads them to the system main control unit via VMEbus, realizing visual power condition monitoring, fault alarm and operation traceability, ensuring stable, controllable and traceable power supply for the entire VME industrial control system and meeting high-reliability continuous operation requirements.
