4. Operating Principle


The GE IBA SM128V module follows the core workflow: Field Signal Acquisition → Optical Isolated Sampling → High-Speed Timing Synchronization → VMEbus Data Exchange → System Analysis & Control → Closed-Loop Fault Self-Diagnosis.


After power-on initialization, the module automatically completes hardware self-test, optical fiber link calibration, channel matching and VMEbus networking connection, then enters synchronous sampling mode.

Various analog and digital field process signals are acquired and transmitted bidirectionally via dual optical fiber links. All channels perform synchronous refresh every 1 ms to collect critical unit parameters including vibration, temperature, pressure, rotational speed, load and equipment status at high speed.


After hardware filtering and timing calibration, acquired data is transmitted to the IBA data analysis system and main control PLC via VMEbus for data archiving, waveform interpretation, operating condition analysis and fault judgment. Meanwhile, control signals can be output according to system commands to realize coordinated equipment regulation and safety interlock.Optical fiber links, channel status and transmission quality are monitored continuously during operation.
