I. Overview


The Triconex 2401 is a high-performance fault-tolerant Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) module. Positioned as the core control unit for industrial critical control and safety systems, it meets both general automation and safety control requirements. Equipped with a 32-bit processor (33MHz clock frequency), 1MB RAM and 4MB Flash memory, the module supports wide-range 90–264 VAC power input (24VDC input supported in partial specifications) with automatic redundant power switching. It features expandable massive I/O interfaces, supporting up to 1000 analog input/output points and 2000 digital input/output points; some specifications are configured with 16 digital input or 16 digital output channels.


Compatible with multiple standard industrial communication protocols including Modbus, DNP3, OPC and TCP/IP, it is equipped with Ethernet, RS-485 and CAN bus interfaces.
