Description
Product Overview
ABB PCS6000 is a medium voltage full power converter specially developed for high-power wind turbines. Moreover, it uses advanced IGCT power semiconductor technology and three-level NPC four-quadrant topology. This converter realizes complete electrical decoupling between the generator and power grid, and it converts variable-frequency power from the wind generator into stable grid-compliant power. It applies closed-loop liquid cooling and modular cabinet layout, and installers can place the whole unit either inside the nacelle or at the tower base. It integrates pre-charging, voltage limiting and cooling components in one IP54 cabinet, and it supports remote diagnosis and condition-based maintenance for wind farm operation teams.
