- Supported Protocols: Native MB300 token bus protocol with AF100/Profibus-DP compatibility to realize bidirectional protocol conversion between new and legacy DCS systems.
(2) Environmental Parameters
- Operating Temperature: -25℃~+60℃ for continuous long-term operation; Storage Temperature: -40℃~+85℃
- Humidity: 5%~95% RH non-condensing; Compliant with IEC61000 industrial EMC standards to withstand VFD harmonic interference, dust and high-temperature conditions; CE industrial safety certification approved.

III. Key Features
- Cross-platform protocol interconnection between new and legacy DCSSeamlessly connects modern 800xA & AC800M systems to legacy on-site I/O modules of early Advant MB300 systems. Existing production units avoid full replacement of old I/O hardware to significantly cut renovation costs.
- Full-redundant dual-channel link architectureAdopts dual-fiber plus dual-bus redundant design. Automatic seamless switchover to standby links occurs if a fiber is broken or bus is short-circuited, without interrupting DCS data acquisition and interlock control, satisfying SIL safety requirements for power plant applications.
- Hardware-level link self-diagnosisFour indicator LEDs (RUN/ERR/CH1/CH2) provide local alarm for abnormal links; fault codes are transmitted to the 800xA upper HMI via Ethernet for quick troubleshooting of faulty fiber or bus segments.
- Modular replacement without extra configurationBackward compatible with legacy PU515A/PU516 communication modules. No changes to rack layout or field bus wiring are needed during retrofit; direct DIN rail mounting without modifying underlying controller configuration.
- Remote online firmware upgradeFirmware can be remotely downloaded from an 800xA engineering workstation via RJ45 Ethernet port; no unit disassembly or on-site programming required, facilitating later system version optimization.
IV. Working Principle
After 24VDC power-up: The unit runs self-check on internal power circuit, fiber transceivers and bus chips, then completes Ethernet handshake communication with AC800M master controller.
Downlink path: Control commands issued by AC800M → PU410K01 converts commands into MB300 token bus frames → Data transmitted via fiber/bus to field MB300 I/O modules.
Uplink path: Field measurement data collected by MB300 I/O → Data encapsulated by gateway into Ethernet packets → Packets uploaded to AC800M master controller.
Fault handling: A faulty single channel automatically switches to redundant backup channel; fault information is latched and uploaded to the DCS monitoring system.
V. Application Scenarios
- Upgrade projects from legacy Advant DCS to 800xA for 300MW~1000MW thermal power generating units;
- Retrofit spare parts for domestic replacement or system upgrade of MB300-bus DCS devices in petrochemical and coal chemical plants;
- Capacity expansion and renovation of outdated ABB Advant OCS systems for blast furnaces and sinter furnaces in metallurgical industry;
- Compatibility transformation between new and legacy DCS for large-scale papermaking and cement production lines.
Version Classification
- PU410K01 (Current Version, PN:3BSE051826R1): Dual-fiber redundant design with enhanced EMC performance; mainstream model for new 800xA projects and existing system retrofits.
- Legacy PU515A/PU516: Single-channel bus without fiber redundancy; original equipment for early Advant systems and gradually phased out for replacement.
