Description

HIMA H4135A 992413560

1. Basic Information

Model: H4135A | Part Number: 992413560

Product Introduction: Cost-effective compact SIL3 safety logic controller (compact safety relay-type CPU) from Germany HIMA HIMatrix product line. It is a simplified derivative of the standard H4135, designed for direct DIN rail mounting. Optimized for local small-loop safety interlocks, standalone equipment emergency stop and single-point fire & gas monitoring on compact units, it removes redundant Ethernet ports and extra spare AI channels to serve as low-cost original spare parts for miniature SIS systems.

Brand: HIMA | Origin: Germany
Supporting Software: HIWORX programming & configuration software. Control programs are compatible with H4135 and available for replacement after minor program adjustments.
Mounting Specification: Standard snap-on mounting on 35mm DIN rail; Overall dimensions: 98(H)×82(D)×30(W) mm, Net Weight ≈0.19kg. Light grey flame-retardant enclosure; PCB with Grade G3 three-proof conformal coating, IP20 protection. Certifications: TÜV Rheinland, CE, UL, ATEX for Zone 2 hazardous locations.
Integrated Hardware: Compact onboard DI/DO plus limited AI channels, single RS485 port, CAN bus, RUN/FAULT LED indicators and compact front terminal blocks. Dual Ethernet interfaces are eliminated, marking the core difference from H4135.

2. Technical Specifications

(1) Safety Architecture

Safety Certifications: IEC61508 SIL3, ISO13849 PL e, EN954-1 Safety Category 4. Equipped with internal TMR triple-CPU hardware voting redundant architecture; safety output remains continuous upon single-CPU fault.
System Scan Cycle: ≥12ms, suitable for low-speed safety interlock and equipment emergency stop circuits.
Full-channel Hardware Self-Diagnosis: Real-time detection of DI open-circuit, DO short-circuit and AI loop breakage; local LED fault indication plus remote fault transmission via communication bus.

(2) Onboard I/O (Simplified layout vs H4135)

  • DI (Digital Input): 12-channel DC24V intrinsically safe input, ≤10mA per channel with wire break diagnosis.
  • DO (Fail-Safe Digital Output): 8-channel DC24V 0.5A de-energize-to-trip transistor output with independent short-circuit current limiting per channel.
  • AI (Analog Input): 2 universal channels for 4~20mA/0~10VDC, 12-bit AD conversion and transmitter break detection (Standard H4135 has 4 AI channels, reduced to 2 on H4135A).

(3) Power Supply Parameters

Input: DC24V (18~28.8VDC, ±20% wide voltage tolerance), total power consumption ≤7.5W. Built-in reverse polarity protection, surge suppression and Level-4 EMC filtering; galvanic isolation ≥2000VAC between I/O circuits and main control unit.

(4) Communication Specifications (Simplified interfaces)

  • RS485: Modbus RTU for connection to field instruments and compact DCS;
  • CAN Bus: HIMA proprietary safety bus for remote I/O slave expansion;
  • Dual Ethernet (Modbus TCP/Profinet) is cancelled as the major simplification of H4135A.

(5) Environmental Specifications

Operating Temperature: -20℃~+65℃; Storage Temperature: -40℃~+85℃.
Humidity: 5%~95% RH non-condensing; IEC61000 Level 4 EMC immunity to resist dust and corrosive industrial gases.

3. Key Features

Cost-Effective Compact All-in-One Design

Redundant Ethernet and redundant analog channels are omitted for smaller footprint and lower cost. Direct DIN rail installation saves cabinet space for small safety loops with limited I/O points.

Retained TMR SIL3 Safety Core

Adopts the same triple-modular redundant safety architecture as standard H4135 with identical SIL3 rating to meet regulatory requirements of ESD emergency interlock.

Cross-Compatible Programming & Drop-In Replacement for H4135

Identical core hardware and software platform; H4135A can substitute underutilized H4135 after slight I/O mapping modification for field commissioning.

Full-Loop Fault Self-Diagnosis

Real-time monitoring of open/short faults on all I/O channels; local LED alert plus fault data upload to upper host via fieldbus.

Online Program Download & Debugging

Logic modification and online troubleshooting via HIWORX without equipment shutdown or module removal.

4. Working Principle

DC24V power input → Internal power regulator supplies stabilized power to TMR triple-core controller and onboard I/O.
Upstream Data Collection: Field valve feedback DI & 4~20mA pressure AI signals → Onboard sampling → Synchronous calculation and voting among three CPUs.
Downstream Interlock Execution: Interlock triggers once process values exceed safety thresholds → CPUs command fail-safe DO de-energization → Trip field shutdown valves and unit emergency stop coils.
Fault Logic: Single-channel or single-CPU failure → TMR logic isolates faulty branch while the other two branches sustain normal interlock operation; front-panel fault LED illuminates and fault data is uploaded via RS485/CAN.

5. Application Scenarios

  • Machinery Industry: Local emergency stop interlock for standalone machine tools, compressors and pumps;
  • Small Gas Equipment: Single-point BMS flame failure protection for compact burners and atmospheric boilers;
  • Oil & Gas Satellite Sites: Single-tank F&G interlock and on-site cut-off for regulating valves at gas filling stations;
  • Fine Chemical Skids: Over-temperature & overpressure interlock for mini reactors;
  • Retrofit Spare: Cost-saving replacement for legacy H4135 systems with low I/O utilization.
