GE DS200IPCSG1A is a dedicated Instantaneous Pulse Current Sense & Hardware Protection Board for GE Speedtronic Mark V DS200 turbine and high-power industrial drive control systems. As a core hardware protection component, it adopts full hardware high-speed sampling architecture to detect instantaneous peak current, power device turn-on surge current and short-circuit fault current in microsecond level.
Different from slow software periodic sampling, this board executes hardware pulse blocking immediately once overcurrent fault occurs, cutting off power output before software response. It provides the final safety barrier for EX2000/DC2000 drive systems and turbine excitation control systems, effectively preventing IGBT module burnout, DC bus short circuit and equipment catastrophic failures. The protection function remains effective even if the main control system crashes or communication fails, ensuring equipment bottom-layer safety.
2.3 Fault Signal Shaping & Upload Unit
The board filters, shapes and matches the original current waveforms, converts disordered pulse signals into standard system signals, and uploads data and fault information to the main controller through the backplane bus, supporting current closed-loop regulation and fault traceability.
