4. Working Principle

After power-on, the IS220PTCCH1B thermocouple input module automatically completes hardware initialization, acquisition chip self-test, power supply loop verification, inspection of all channel circuits, system communication handshake and reference calibration of temperature measurement parameters. Upon successful full-dimensional self-inspection and normal link synchronization, the module connects formally to the GE Mark VIe industrial control system and enters steady multi-channel temperature collection and data calculation operation.

During runtime, 12 independent channels synchronously collect faint thermoelectric potential analog signals generated by field thermocouple sensors. All raw signals undergo front-end electrical isolation, surge suppression, multi-stage electromagnetic filtering and signal shaping noise reduction to eliminate invalid interference such as grid harmonics, power-frequency clutter, electromagnetic crosstalk and line induced disturbance, filtering signal jitter and abnormal noise to obtain pure and stable original temperature measurement signals. Meanwhile, an on-board high-precision temperature measuring unit collects real-time cold-junction ambient cabinet temperature. An embedded intelligent compensation algorithm automatically corrects cold-junction temperature differences to thoroughly eliminate systematic temperature measurement errors triggered by ambient temperature variation.

Compensated and shaped standard signals are sent to the core arithmetic unit for high-precision analog-to-digital conversion, temperature value calculation, linear calibration and data encapsulation, accurately converting analog thermoelectric potential signals into standard temperature values. Via the system bus communication mechanism, the module uploads real-time channel temperature data, equipment temperature rise conditions, channel operating status and fault alarm information to upper main control systems, monitoring platforms and DCS configuration systems in real time. In addition, channel parameter configuration, range calibration and alarm threshold setting commands issued by the host system are received synchronously for parameter update and logic adaptation, realizing fully automatic closed-loop operation of field temperature collection, data calculation and remote management.
