I. Product Overview


Alstom MVD300-4601 is an air-cooled IGBT power inverter module under the ALSPA MV3000 DELTA architecture, now belonging to GE Power Conversion Converteam product line. As the core power conversion component of medium and high-voltage high-power frequency converters, it converts DC bus voltage into adjustable frequency and voltage three-phase AC power to realize variable frequency speed regulation for high-power asynchronous and synchronous motors. Multiple modules can be connected in parallel for capacity expansion to meet megawatt-level transmission load requirements.


Adopting standardized rack hot-swappable modular design, it integrates main power circuit, drive trigger, voltage & current sampling, hardware protection and status feedback circuits, equipped with comprehensive protection functions against overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating and short circuit. Certified by CE, UL, DNV and other industrial standards, it can operate continuously in closed control cabinets with high temperature, dust and strong electromagnetic interference. 1. IGBT Main Inverter Circuit Unit

It adopts three-phase two-level IGBT topology, with built-in high-power insulated gate bipolar transistors to convert DC power to adjustable three-phase AC output. Hall current sensors and DC bus voltage sampling circuits collect real-time operating parameters including three-phase output current, bus voltage and IGBT junction temperature, and upload digital & analog signals to the main controller for vector closed-loop calculation and fault judgment. Passive fault dry contacts are reserved to upload module abnormal signals to DCS and local alarm devices for remote fault warning.


4. Forced Air Cooling and Temperature Control Protection Unit

Integrated aluminum alloy dense-fin heat sink matched with axial cooling fan realizes efficient heat exchange. Built-in NTC temperature sensors monitor power device temperature in real time, triggering load derating or emergency shutdown once overtemperature occurs to prevent thermal breakdown of IGBT power components under long-term full-load operation.

Universal pluggable mechanical structure matches MV3000 DELTA standard power cabinet racks. Front panel LED indicators display power ready, PWM running, overcurrent, overtemperature and bus voltage faults for quick on-site fault location.
