3. Working Principle
- Power-on Initialization & Self-test: The module obtains working power through the DCS backplane. After power-on, it automatically completes hardware self-test, firmware initialization, bus protocol loading and system handshake, and enters normal communication standby state after passing verification.
- AF100 Bus Node Scanning & Networking: After startup, it actively scans the entire AF100 fieldbus network segment, automatically identifies all mounted remote I/O modules, smart instruments and field substations, completes device registration, address matching and communication binding, and establishes a stable bus topology.
- Bidirectional Protocol Conversion & Data Forwarding: As a communication transfer hub, it parses control commands issued by the DCS main control in real time and forwards them to corresponding fieldbus devices. Meanwhile, it collects process data and device status signals uploaded by field equipment, and uploads them to the main control system after verification, filtering and preprocessing.
- Bus Timing Scheduling & Conflict Avoidance: It automatically allocates communication timing according to AF100 bus standards, polls each slave node, and completes data interaction in order to avoid bus congestion and data conflicts caused by simultaneous transmission of multiple devices.
- Real-time Fault Monitoring & Fault Tolerant Repair: It continuously monitors bus link quality, node online status and data transmission quality. It automatically reconnects and recovers from transient interference and short-term disconnection; immediately uploads alarm information and locks abnormal links for permanent faults to ensure normal operation of other network segments.
- Online Hot-swap Fault Tolerant Operation: Supports module plugging and replacement during system operation. The system temporarily caches data and maintains uninterrupted bus links automatically, and re-networks automatically after replacement, realizing non-stop maintenance.
