Description
GE IS200JPDBG1A
I. Basic Information
Model: IS200JPDBG1A belongs to the classic Speedtronic Mark VI gas turbine control system featuring VME rack architecture (differentiated from Mark VIe). It is the core internal AC power distribution PCB assembled inside the IS2020JPDBAC module. Designed specifically for AC mains feed-in of main control racks, multi-channel 28VDC control power distribution, circuit protection and power status acquisition, it fits control cabinets of gas and steam turbine units with full TMR triple-redundant, dual-redundant and simplex configurations. As an essential replacement spare part for refurbishment and power component overhaul of legacy GE Mark VI units in power plants, it supports 24/7 continuous energized cabinet operation.
II. Technical Specifications
(1) Basic Hardware Parameters
- Brand: GE General Electric | Origin: USA
- Type: Mark VI System AC Power Distribution Board (JPDB), encapsulated within IS2020JPDBAC metal housing
- Compatible System: GE Speedtronic Mark VI gas/steam turbine DCS (VME 13-slot / 21-slot rack), incompatible with native Mark VIe platform
- Mounting: Embedded into JPDBAC metal assembly and fixed in standard VME rack slots
- Overall Dimension: 264mm(D) × 213mm(W), Net Weight ≈1.2kg; total assembly weight including outer casing ≈2kg
- Protection Rating: IP20 (for sealed cabinet installation)
Onboard Configuration: 6-position toggle power branch switches, 8 cartridge fuses (6 fuses corresponding one-to-one with switches), 10 groups of pluggable terminals, 2 ribbon cable sockets for status collection
(2) Rated Electrical Parameters
- AC Input: Auto-adaptive single-phase 115VAC/230VAC, 50/60Hz, rated single-circuit input capacity of 20A
- DC Output: Multiple isolated 28VDC regulated control outputs centrally distributed to feed all control modules installed in the rack
- Fuse Specification: Standard industrial cylindrical fuses providing branch overcurrent protection; short-circuit on individual branch will not cause total board power collapse
- Monitoring Circuit: Passive voltage sensing circuitry fitted for every fused branch to continuously track AC input magnitude and branch open/fuse-blown status; collected data is consolidated via dual ribbon cables and fed back to the master controller
Terminal Definition: 8 sets of 3-pin terminals (JAC1~JAC6), 1 set of 5-pin AC input terminals, 1 set of 9-pin jumper terminals for separation of incoming power, branch outgoing wiring and status signal routing
(3) Environmental Specifications
- Operating Temperature: -30℃~+65℃ (long-term cabinet service)
- Storage Temperature: -40℃~+85℃ (warehousing & transportation)
- Operating Humidity: 5%~95% RH (non-condensing). Complies with IEC529 dust protection and EN50178 safety standards; resistant to dust, oil mist and variable-frequency electromagnetic interference inside power plant control rooms.

III. Key Features
Centralized AC-to-28VDC Power Distribution as Core Rack Power Hub
Graded Protection via Six Independent Switches plus Fuses for Isolated Fault Containment
Six independent manual disconnect switches with matched fuses. Short-circuit or overload on one module only blows its dedicated branch fuse and isolates the corresponding circuit, while all remaining power feeds stay intact to sustain critical unit control loops.
Full-Circuit Online Power Monitoring with Automatic Fault Alarm Upload
Modular Integrated Design for Drop-In Replacement without Internal Cabinet Rewiring
Complementary Matching with JPDD DC Board for Complete Cabinet Power Layout
IV. Working Principle
- Power Feed-In: 115/230VAC plant service power enters via AC terminals; onboard EMI filtering, rectification and regulation produce multiple isolated 28VDC supplies.
- Branch Output: Six toggle switches enable controlled power switching; after fuse current limiting, regulated power is routed via JAC terminals to all rack-mounted I/O and main control modules.
- Continuous Status Scanning: Sampling circuits permanently measure individual branch AC voltage and fuse continuity, consolidating collected data via two sets of ribbon cables.
- Fault Notification: Upon fuse blowout or branch power loss, altered sampled values are transmitted to Mark VI master controller to generate corresponding power fault alerts on upper monitoring software.
- Cyclic Power Supply: Stable regulated 28VDC output runs 24/7; manual switch operation allows live maintenance of single branches without disrupting overall system power.
V. Application Scenarios
(1) Legacy Mark VI Heavy-Duty GE Gas Turbines (9F/6FA/5E Series)
(2) Thermal Power Steam Turbine Generating Units (Legacy Mark VI Control Platform)
Power distribution for control cabinets of turbine governing, excitation and shaft protection systems paired with traditional VME-based CPU and I/O modules.
(3) Retrofit of Obsolete Gas Turbines at Chemical & Steel Captive Power Plants
