I. Product Overview


HIMA H51Q-HRS (Model B5233-2, Part No.997205233) is a high-availability dual-redundancy safety central rack assembly of HIMA HIQuad H51q safety control system, designed for Safety Instrumented System (SIS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) and Fire & Gas (FGS) safety applications. Adopting triple redundancy architecture of dual CPU, dual I/O bus and three-channel power supply, it complies with IEC 61508 SIL3 and AK6 highest process safety standards.


Pre-installed with 2 F8650 safety CPU modules, 3 F7126 redundant power modules and 1 F7131 power monitoring module, the rack is equipped with two physically isolated safety I/O buses, each supporting up to 128 safety I/O points, and can expand up to 16 remote I/O sub-racks with a maximum total of 256 safety measuring points. With full-range hardware self-diagnosis and fail-safe design, any single-point hardware fault will not cause safety misoperation or failure to operate. Certified by TÜV, CE, UL and ATEX Zone 2, it is widely used as core spare parts for safety system renovation and capacity expansion in petrochemical, power, oil & gas and coal chemical high-risk industries.

1. Dual Redundant Safety CPU Operation Unit

Two synchronized F8650 safety CPUs run in parallel with cross-checking mechanism to ensure bumpless switchover under single CPU fault. Onboard lithium battery provides temporary data buffer for SRAM and system clock after power failure. Program configuration is realized via certified SILworX and ELOP II software, with the minimum safety scan cycle of 10ms to meet millisecond-level emergency trip response requirements.


2. Three-channel Redundant Power Supply & Monitoring Unit

Three F7126 24VDC to 5VDC switching power modules operate in parallel hot standby mode, with seamless load sharing after single power failure. The F7131 monitoring module continuously tracks bus voltage, power operation status and backup battery health, triggers local alarm and remote fault uploading once overvoltage, undervoltage or power fault occurs.


3. Dual Isolated Redundant Safety I/O Bus Unit

Two independent physical safety I/O buses each support 128 I/O points and 16 remote sub-racks, with built-in CRC data verification and link fault diagnosis. The system automatically switches to the backup bus in case of main bus failure, and supports hot-swap replacement of I/O modules without system shutdown.


4. Multi-channel Extended Communication Unit

The rack supports up to 3 coprocessor modules and 5 industrial communication modules, compatible with Modbus TCP/RTU, PROFINET and HIMA dedicated safety protocols, realizing remote parameter configuration, program downloading and historical fault data uploading with DCS and SCADA systems.


5. Industrial Protected 19-inch Standard Rack Unit

5U 19-inch standard cabinet mounting structure with high-strength steel shielding and three-proof coated backplane PCB.
