IV. Working Principle


After powered by RMU610 isolated DC power supply, the module completes hardware self-test, fiber link handshake and bus initialization, then enters transparent relay mode. Control commands from the controller are isolated, shaped and encoded into optical signals for long-distance transmission; field I/O data is converted from optical signals to electrical signals, error-corrected and uploaded to the controller without protocol modification. The module monitors fiber optical power and bus operating status in real time, triggers local and remote alarms upon link faults, and the redundant system automatically switches to the standby channel.
