4. Operating Principle

The SR745 transformer protection relay operates based on high-precision electrical sampling, differential protection algorithm, multi-logic fault judgment, automatic trip alarm and remote data transmission. After power-on initialization, the device continuously collects real-time operating data such as transformer current, voltage, frequency and switch status for high-precision calculation and status judgment.


Aiming at dual-winding transformer operating characteristics, the percentage differential algorithm automatically offsets normal operation deviations such as excitation inrush current and load unbalance, accurately identifying internal winding faults. Combined with overcurrent, voltage, frequency and zero-sequence auxiliary protection, it forms a multi-level fault protection system. When parameter over-limit or equipment fault is detected, the device triggers alarm and tripping action immediately to cut off faulty circuits and prevent transformer damage and grid fault expansion.


The device synchronously records operating events, fault waveforms and action logs, and uploads data to the background monitoring system through power communication protocols, realizing remote monitoring, fault traceability and intelligent management of transformer equipment.
