After power-on, the Fireye SC2L-95UVS2-1CEX flame scanner first completes full hardware self-test and verification of sensing and output loops. It enters normal flame monitoring mode once self-check passes without abnormality.
Relying on the built-in high-precision UV sensor, the device continuously collects exclusive ultraviolet spectral signals in the 295~320 nm band from the combustion zone and captures dynamic flame flicker signals generated by fuel combustion.
Collected raw signals are sent to the internal microprocessor for intelligent calculation and filtering based on preset frequency discrimination, gain thresholds and working condition parameters. Invalid interference signals such as furnace high-temperature radiation, wall reflections and ambient stray light are automatically filtered out, and the on-site flame "present/absent" status is accurately determined with real-time analysis of flame combustion intensity.
Processed flame data is output through multiple channels:
- Relay contact signals are connected to the combustion safety interlock system to realize flame-out protection, fuel shutoff and alarm interlock functions;
- 4–20 mA analog signals linearly transmit flame intensity to the DCS system for remote real-time monitoring.
Meanwhile, the device performs electronic self-check throughout operation. Once sensor abnormality, loop fault, signal loss or other issues are detected, the fault relay alarm is triggered immediately, the operating state is locked and fault codes are recorded to prevent system false interlock or failure, comprehensively ensuring operational safety of the combustion system.
